    Educate Poor Children in Cameroon

CREDEV is appealing to visitors of our website to participate in our fundraising through GLOBALGIVING from 25th March to 26th April 2010. The objective of the fundraising is to promote basic education for the benefit children in the indigenous community of Mbaw Plain in North West - Cameroon, where we work. We want to advance the plight of children of this community to enable them read and write as a right, with educational materials in Primary Schools to attain at least basic certificate level. To donate; just login to GLOBALGIVING FUNDRAISING to compassionately support this programme.

    FUNDRAISING APPEAL

The Centre for Reconstruction and Development is carrying out feasibility studies and designing rural water supply projects in Mbaw Plain, covering 20 communities in Donga / Mantung Division. This is a region with a high rate of water related diseases due to scarcity and bad quality of drinking water.
Most of the streams dry-off during the dry season and people in many instance drink surface water together with cattle on transhumance in this peak demand period from ponds or the few flowing streams. CREDEV is appealing to donors and well-wishers to support the project financially or materially to provide clean drinking water. Read more on this in the PROGRAMMES to compassionately support this programme.

    MBAW DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

This is a Socio-economic development project aimed at eradicating extreme poverty and huger in Mbaw Plain. The programme’s mission is to promote rice productivity that is a major source of the livelihoods in this community through services to reduce chronic poverty. The project will reduce unemployment, malnutrition and hunger boosting food security and will promote effective social change in this community. CREDEV is searching for partners with non-profit status; both donors and practitioners to join us. See pictures relating to the project area at Mbaw Community Photos
